LINC - Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada

The Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) Program is funded by Immigration, Citizenship and Refugees Canada and provides free basic English as an addition language (EAL) courses to adult permanent residents.

Outreach LINC

If you are unable to attend ISANS for specific reasons, you may be eligible for the Outreach LINC program. There are trained EAL teachers that provide at-home EAL for immigrants who want to learn English.

LINC Home Study

LINC Home Study is a program for newcomers to Canada who wish to improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English but cannot attend regular LINC classes because they live outside Halifax, caregiving responsibilities or other reasons. Learners study online or by correspondance.
